
Mrs. Rezan Kader the High Representative in Italy and for the Republic
of Albania of the Kurdistan Regional Government, participates at the
International Meeting "Peace is Always Possible" organized by the
Community of Sant'Egidio in Tirana to mark the 20th anniversary of
peace in the Balkans.
Numerous conferences in the program, which will involve over 400
authoritative representatives of religions, culture and institutions
of all the world for three days.
The opening ceremony saw on stage, among others, the Prime Minister of
the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, the founder of the Community of
Sant'Egidio Andrea Riccardi, the italian Minister for Justice Andrea
Orlando and the current Chaldean Catholic Patriarch of Babylon
Monsignor Louis Raphael I Sako. Were also read messages from His
Holiness Pope Francis and the Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
Will be present the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Kurdistan
Regional Government Kamal Muslim who will speak at the panel "Peace is
Possible in Iraq", the General Director for Christian Affairs of the
Ministry for Religious Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government,
Khalid Jamal Talia and the representative of the Yazidi community.
The panel entitled "Imagine Peace. The role of religion and politics "
will be attended by Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
Along with the Minister Gentiloni and Orlando, for Italy will be
present Romano Prodi and Foreign Undersecretary Mario Giro.
