Mrs. Kader receives the visit of the Ambassador of Israel to the Holy See

Today, Mrs. Rezan Kader received the visit of the Ambassador of Israel to the Holy See, Amb. Zion Evrony.

Mrs. Kader updated the Ambassador on the current situation in the Kurdistan Region including the economic - financial crisis in progress, the evolution of resistance against the ISIS terrorists, the relationship with the central government, relations with neighbour countries, and the question of independence of the Kurdistan Region.

Mrs. Kader expressed to the Ambassador the need for further support from the international community in economic,- financial and military terms to deal with the fight against ISIS and the humanitarian crisis there, especially in view of the operation of liberation of Mosul.
She also expressed the desire to deepen relations with the Jewish community in Italy and abroad, in the light of the manifest solidarity with the cause of the Kurdish people.
The Ambassador Evrony guaranteed to Mrs. Kader all his support and to exert all possible pressure to collect as much consensus on the cause of the Kurdish people. He stressed the important role of the Peshmerga forces in the fight against ISIS, wishing KRG to soon restore peace and stability. Finally, the Kurdish people, which is the largest ethnic group in the world that does not have a state, deserves to attain its rights to self-determination and independence.
