Today, Mrs. Kader received the visit of the President of the Foreign
Affairs Committee of the Senate, Pierferdinando Casini at the KRG
Representation Office.
Aim of the meeting, the current situation in the Kurdistan Region, the
relationship with the central government and the liberation of Mosul,
a stronghold of Daesh terrorists.
President Casini expressed to the High Representative the wish to go
for an official mission in the Kurdistan Region with a Senate
delegation to manifest all his support to the Kurdistan Regional
Government for their efforts in the fight against ISIS terrorists and
to maintain stability in the area, but also to express his solidarity
with refugees and internally displaced people of the Kurdistan Region.
Mrs. Kader has welcomed this intention, which will give immediate
follow-up in coordination with the competent authorities Kurdish.
The High Representative also underlined and thanked Italy for its
commitment and support shown to the Kurdistan Regional Government.
