Hiwa Cancer Hospital Suleimanya - Mrs. Kader meets Italian doctors involved in the project

Mrs. Kader met today with Dr. Corrado Girmenia, hematologist at the Hematology Institute of the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, and Prof. Ignazio Majolino, coordinator of the Italian project of "capacity building" stem cell transplant activity at the Hiwa Cancer Hospital in Suleimanya.
This project, which has been going on for about a year, has achieved great results and is receiving great appreciation from the Italian and international scientific communities, and is expected to be extended also to pediatric oncoematology.
The High Representative expressed a sincere appreciation and deeply thanked all those involved in this project, also hoping that such initiatives could find more space in the Kurdistan Region, especially at this phase where the health sector is heavily weakened.
