Dr. Kader accompanies Minister Majeed to the Ministry of Agriculture

Today, Dr. Kader accompanied Minister of Agriculture Abdulsattar Majeed and his delegation to the Ministry of Agricultural, Food, and Forestry Policies.
The discussions between Undersecretary Giuseppe Castiglione and Minister of Agriculture of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Abdulsattar Majeed, focused on the fruitful collaboration between their respective countries.
Majeed thanked the Italian government for its continuing valuable work, especially on the humanitarian front, for the stabilization of the region, severely threatened by ISIS, and for its support for the Peshmerga and all the Kurdish people.
Areas for developing collaboration include the preservation and packaging of agri-food products, the development of agricultural supply chains, and the supply of agricultural machinery. "Beyond the fruitful collaboration, there is a strong cultural bond that unites the two countries," Castiglione emphasizes. "The humanitarian support provided by the Italian government, even during this time of crisis, is very important. We intend to promote collaboration with Kurdistan to develop the economy and create jobs in the agri-food sector. It would be appropriate to evaluate the possibility of developing support projects in the scientific and technological fields, involving our technicians and research institutes, who can provide expertise and agricultural machinery, in order to encourage Italian investment in the Kurdistan Region."
