
Today, Dr. Rezan Kader, High Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Italy, met with the leaders of the Italian Livestock Breeders Association (AIA) at the representative office.
Present at the meeting were the Association's Director General, Dr. Roberto Maddè, the Head of the Foreign Office, Dr. Alessandra Narciso, and Dr. Michele Blasi, Director of the Agri-Food Quality Department (DQM), whose mission, among other things, is to guarantee and certify agricultural and agri-food production.
The AIA, founded in 1944, comprises 27 national livestock breeders' associations, 19 regional associations, and 47 provincial and inter-provincial associations. Thanks to this widespread presence throughout the country, the Association supports every sector of livestock farming, assisting Italian livestock companies and promoting and promoting Italian products. It collaborates, among others, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as EU and international organizations.
The meeting focused on the desire to examine and undertake joint actions in the Kurdistan Region, which has a strong agricultural and livestock vocation thanks to its climate and water quality.
The High Representative, while emphasizing the challenging situation facing the Region, which is actively engaged in the fight against Da'esh terrorists, expressed her willingness to welcome any projects and collaborations in this regard.
