Dr. Rezan Kader receives the Italian Consul in Erbil, Dr. Alessandra Di Pippo

Today, the High Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to Italy and the Holy See received the Italian Consul in Erbil, Dr. Alessandra Di Pippo, at the Representative Office in Rome.
Their discussions focused on relations between Italy and the Kurdistan Region, the current situation in the region, the fight against Daesh terrorists, and the ongoing serious humanitarian and financial crisis.
Dr. Kader emphasized the role of the Italian Government, actively engaged in the international coalition, both militarily and humanitarianly, and thanked the Consul for his work in Erbil, expressing her hope for greater collaboration between their respective offices.
Consul Di Pippo, who has been in Erbil for a few months, thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Department of Foreign Affairs, which have always demonstrated great cooperation. She praised the role of the Peshmerga forces in the war against ISIS and expressed appreciation for the extraordinary hospitality shown in assisting a large number of refugees and displaced persons.
