Mrs. Rezan Kader, High representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government yesterday August 27th, 2013 was invited to participate as guest of honor at the opening night of the Festival of Nations, in the Church of San Domenico in Città di Castello, Umbria. 
The Festival of Nations, an event that takes place every year, with the patronage of the President of the Regional Council of Umbria, was dedicated not to a single nation as tradition but to Europe in order to relaunch it as a unified political entity.

The opening night saw performances by musicians from all over Europe and the participation of many authorities, such as the Mrs. Catiuscia Marini, President of the Umbria Region, Mr. Silvano Rometti, Councillor for the environment, land, infrastructure and transport, Mr. Eros Brega, President of the Regional Council of Umbria, Mr. Giovanni Andrea Lignani Marchesani, Vice-president of the Regional Council of Umbria, Mr. Luciano Bacchetta, Mayor of the municipality of Citta di Castello, Mr. Michele Bettarelli, Deputy Mayor of the municipality of Citta di Castello, Hon. Catia Polidori, Mr. Fiorenzo Luchetti, Chairman of Confindustria Perugia, H.E. Mons. Domenico Cancian, Mr. Stefano Neri, President of Confartigianato Imprese Umbria, Mr. Massimo Ortalli, Vice President of Federfarma Perugia and Mr. Giuliano Giubilei, Deputy Director of TG3 and Festival President, Mr. Roberto De Lellis, organizing Director of the Festival and many other members of the political, business and cultural environment.
The opening evening ended with a gala dinner in the atmospheric cloister adjacent to the Church of San Domenico.
