Mrs. Kader participates at the Conference on "The condition of women and the current international situation "


On the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Women, the Coordination of the National Council of Italian Women in collaboration with the Rotary and Lions clubs in Rome, organized at the Officers' Club of the Italian Armed Forces in Rome a conference on the theme "The condition of women and the current international situation".
The President of the Rotary Colosseum, Avv. Andrea Valente Cioncoloni thanked all the speakers, guests and all those who contributed to the realization of this important event aimed at reminding the social, political and economic achievements of women and the discrimination and violence which they have undergone, and are still subjected, all over the world.
After listening to the anthems of all the participating countries, Prof. Massimo Papa, professor of Islamic law and Islamic countries at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and moderator of the conference, gave the floor to Mrs. Rezan Kader who presented the role of the Kurdish woman, as mother, wife, worker and especially peshmerga, aimed at defending her land and her family. Despite the Kurdish women enjoy equal treatment in the Kurdish society; unfortunately, they are at the moment subjected to slavery and violence by ISIS terrorists. For this reason, the High Representative appealed to the international community to receive strong support in the fight against terrorism. Other speeches worthy of note, that one of the surgeon Dr. Vincenzo D'Alessandro, who spoke of the problem of infibulation, Mrs. Patrizia Salierno President of the NGO Project Rwanda; Hon. Alessandro Battilocchio, responsible for Italy-Myanmar project and finally of His Royal Highness the Princess India of Afghanistan.
At the conclusion of the interventions, the organizing committee delivered floral gifts to the panelists and other present women, and offered a dinner to the guests.
