Today, Dr. Kader welcomed 8 Kurdish officials participating in the cooperation project "Protection and enhancement of cultural heritage of the Region Kurdistan”, led by the Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Rome La Sapienza.
The project started in 2006 and was developed  firstly in the Kurdistan Region and secondly organized a training course with Italian professionals (archaeologists, surveyors, architects, restorers..) in Rome.
Mrs. Kader congratulated with the Kurdish delegation for their achievements, while thanking the Director of the cooperation project, Prof. Carlo Cereti and the rest of the Italian team, as  Mrs. Angela Bizzarro, Project Coordinator for the professionalism of their work.
The project in question, and upcoming projects that the partnership MAE - La Sapienza aims to implement, are oriented to enhance the region of Kurdistan and its archaeological heritage in order to promote this area as a tourist destination.
Finally, Mrs. Kader will take part in the day of presentation of the cooperation project that will end with a ceremony intended to issue certificates of participation to the Kurdish officials. The event will take place on June 23rd, 2014 at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
